On Saturday, February 23, 2013, the ESTL men of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc, along with their Award-Winning Guide Right program, traveled to Memphis, TN for a trip of historical proportion. 11 Kappa Men, along with 21 Guide Right Youth, had the opportunity of a life-time to visit and tour several historical attractions: St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, Caldwell Elementary School, Stax Records, and the Lorraine Motel/National Civil Rights Museum. The trip proved to be educational for both the Chapter and the Youth. These Young men from East St. Louis had a chance to see the very spot where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated at 45 years ago. They were able to tour and see firsthand memorabilia from singers like Tina Turner, Isaac Hayes, and the Dramatics. This trip was well organized and planned by Kappa Brothers Joe Lewis, Jr. and Brother Christopher Belt.
